This farm girl ventured back to her roots this weekend to celebrate the 71st Annual Hector Flight Breakfast, and was it ever a blast from the past. There’s something so very comforting about leaving the city and experiencing life at a bit slower pace. Dear Hector, you still have my heart.

Welcome to small town goodness.

Some friends you can meet again after years and still feel like no time has passed.

Where the magic happens.

And we have planes.

We’re from here.

Cruising main.

Home of the Mustangs.

Learn how to fly.

Still to this day, I associate the elevator with the jelly beans in the office. Best jelly beans IN THE WORLD. At least when I was five.

We shall come back soon, dear Hector.
